“We can’t go back and fix what happened so to try and figure out who to blame or what went wrong doesn’t seem very productive”. UMMMMM I’d think that would be the most productive thing you could do in order to avoid another disaster that we just lived through!!!
Purdue's 2024 freshman admission rate was the lowest ever. MBB getting back to the Final Four and Zach's 2x NPOY were huge. And then there are all the Ross-Ade upgrades Those tailwinds can't be taken for granted. I think Mike B is up to it.
I want to hear from the asst. AD, who has been involved in the football program. Same people involved picking the coach, no repercussions. Another train wreck incoming. The only person, on the board, backing football is retiring. I hate it here.
I feel greatly encouraged by what Mike and the athletic staff will be doing in the next few days. And, being around and watching the program, I can second Mike's comment that despite the poor performances, the team seemed to be cohesive with little or no finger pointing. I was actually quite surprised as the season progressed, that the coaches and players were working hard and focused on preparation for the next game, when it would have been easier to just give up.
@@edclift9674I think we all had hope in the beginning of the year. But we lost 8 games by 21 points or more. If they could have given up I’m sure they would have. Logistically that wasn’t an option.
Please don’t screw this up again Bobo I can’t take this suffering anymore it’s time to act like an actual P4 school and spend some actual money on a proven coach
I would HOPE the "fire alarms" went off AFTER the ND blowout loss. I know they probably were not going to beat ND anyway BUT it is the WAY they played. They was no competative flow and getting blown out in just about every game is too much and had hit rock bottom. I believe a VERY, VERY good high school team could have beat Purdue this year and THAT is unacceptable for any BIG10 college team.
$9 million severence for failure to perform. Walters will live like a king the rest of his life. Bobinski is either incompetent or off the chart arrogant for the malfeasance he displayed agreeing to that contract. Indiana legislature needs to investigate the waste of taxpayers money.
Good news. Ryan Walters was terminated. Bad news. The same people who vetted and believed Walters was the best football coach available will be vetting and selecting the next coach.
Press conferences are just words. I was fooled by the hype and spin of the Purdue propaganda machine in 2023. I am disappointed that Bobi hired an inexperienced head coach and watched the train wreck occur. The facts maybe different, but the outcome was not. In the end, $9.5m was spent to clean up the mess. Money that could have been used to build Purdue athletics and the football program. I have no ill will towards Walters. He will bounce back after he has spent down that $9.5m.
@ 1) attract recruits from all over the USA and other countries. 2) protection from the elements for fans and players. 3) serve as a venue for other types of sports and entertainment activities. 4) a facility for all seasons- expanded usage. 5) could house a greater variety of vendors (food and nonfood).

What program were u watching?
did you see we lost 66-0?

Need a proven winner Mike
Let Gene have a crack at it!
Dont rush it
Bobi better actually get a head coach with head coach experience that has a history of putting a winning team on the field.
Who keeps him accountable??
If they are giving bobinski a second chance he better not fuck it up

No they couldn’t. Quit being ridiculous.

I would say Walters was not set up for success due to poor vetting.

Ryan walters should blacklisted from coaching ever again
Were there any “off the field” behaviors by coach Walters that factored into the decision to release Walters from Purdue ?
They would have let him go with cause and not paid the buyout if there was. Too many people spreading horrible rumors
Based on Walters character there’s a good chance the “horrible rumors” are true??

Ryan Day might be available soon.
I’m shocked RD hasn’t been fired yet. The only game that really matters is Michigan and he has zero clue how to win that game........

When will Ross Ade be converted into a dome type stadium ?
When pigs fly😊
